Queen Elizabeth was born in 1533 in England. She claimed the throne at 25 years of age. Elizabeth caught smallpox at the age of 28. ( 3 years after her coronation) which unfortunately left her with very harsh scaring. Many wealthy women in this era wore very pale faces, light hair and red lips. The pale face was a sign of wealth and nobility, This white face makeup was created by a mixture of white lead and vinegar.

Red fair hair - Many wealthy women would dye there hair red or wear wigs.

Queen Elizabeth also had a very high hairline. This was also a sign of wealth and intelligence.
